This foundational message, first published in The CrossFit Journal: simple, eloquent, and all-encompassing, it’s a prescription suited to both novices and advanced athletes alike.

What It Teaches Us:

  • Nutrition: “Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.” Simple, whole foods—proper portioned—form the essential fuel for performance and health.
