  • Who is CrossFit for?

"The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience".

CrossFit "delivers a fitness that is by design, broad, general and inclusive. Our specialty is not specialising. Combat, survival, many sports and life reward this kind of Fitness". (Coach Glassman, CrossFit Co-Founder)
  • World Class Fitness in 100 Words

"Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports".

  2. Glen and Michelle in NY says:

    WOD @ Crossfit NYC:

Every 3 min w/1 min rest for 5 rounds
3 Power Snatches @ 85% 1RM, then as many rounds of “Mary” as possible.
(not allowed to dump bar as box is on 3rd level of building)

    Glen: 5+20 @ 145 pounds (65kg)

Chris & Drummond, you guys are miles ahead of the trainers here, and I’m not just blowing smoke up your @#$%… I saw some terrible technique around the box here, and no one correcting…

Stephen, Maren & Penny over half of the competitors at the recent Crossfit Rocks competition couldn’t hang clean what you have today… Great job!!

Stephen, I hope that you’re working on your ring dips!!

    • Hi Glen, thanks for the feedback mate. From all acounts, I think the CrossFit standard in Australia is quite high across the board and we aim to keep it that way. I am keen to have a good talk to you about your experience with training in the US and see what positives and negatives you may have taken away from it.

I’m still waiting for a photo.

      Chris.

Hi Glen and Michelle so glad you haven’t forgotten us. Good effort on the WoD, is Michelle doing the WoD’s as well?
Glen I am interested to see what happens when a heavily weighted bar is dropped accidentally, do you then run and just keep going?

  4. maree says:
