  • Who is CrossFit for?

"The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience".

CrossFit "delivers a fitness that is by design, broad, general and inclusive. Our specialty is not specialising. Combat, survival, many sports and life reward this kind of Fitness". (Coach Glassman, CrossFit Co-Founder)
  • World Class Fitness in 100 Words

"Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports".

Congrats Marie – mixing with the crossfit “heavies” i see!!

  3. Glen and Michelle in NY says:

Congrats Marie… Hopefully this means that we get to see you more around the box when you get the time!!

Couldn’t get a go at Crossfit Hollywood, as they limit their class sizes and don’t really take casuals. So I made up my own WOD in the Sofitel gym… Got some interesting looks, especially when every other person in there had their own personal trainers and were just working the machines.

    3-3-3-3-3 Push Press @ 60kg
    Followed by:
    WOD:
    25 Double Unders
15, 12, 9 of Front Squat (135#/60kg), Push Ups, Sit Ups
    25 Double Unders

    • Hey Glen,

Good to see you taking CrossFit to the people. I would have loved to see their faces when you were doing you WOD. Nice WOD too by the way. When do you guys get back? Stephen is getting a bit cocky in the mornings with no one there to beat him!

      Chris.

      • Glen and Michelle in NY says:

        Hi Chris,

The funniest thing was this massive guy grunting like nothing else when he was doing 25kg back squats and push presses, then watching me do each at 60kg… We fly out in about 4 hours from now and get into Brisbane on Friday morning, so we’ll be at Crossfit on Friday night. I don’t think that I’ll be anywhere near Stephen for at least a week with the diet over here!! Straight on to paleo once the plane lands! Great numbers at the box, looks like I might be pushed out to the car park!!

        Glen

  4. Maren says:

Well done Marie, great work! We love the whole GIRL POWER thing…and now you right up there with C & D.

Let us know when you will be in the box so we can all get together for a work out!
