  • Who is CrossFit for?

"The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience".

CrossFit "delivers a fitness that is by design, broad, general and inclusive. Our specialty is not specialising. Combat, survival, many sports and life reward this kind of Fitness". (Coach Glassman, CrossFit Co-Founder)
  • World Class Fitness in 100 Words

"Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports".

Well done to all competing over the weekend – you did us really proud!!!!

  4. kylie says:

Congratulations Ali and Drummond!! Great job on Ruby Grace, she is a ripper!!

Congratulations to all those who competed over the weekend, truly inspirational!!

  5. Glen says:

Congrats Maren and Lance for great improvements on your runs this morning… Also to everyone else who battled through it… It looks a lot worse than it actually is doesn’t it!

Thanks to all of the spectators on the weekend, you guys were such a huge help.

I think it was very evident on the weekend how strong our affiliate is in the QLD region and how lucky we are to have such strong trainers who instill good techniques and good work ethic into us all. For an affiliate that has only been open for 8 months to have such strong representation, especially in the females, this is a huge achievement.

Hopefully we get heaps of representation at the Bayside Challenge on the 27th March… Get your registrations in and join in the fun that comes along with these comps.

  6. Samantha says:

YAY that’s fantastic congratulations Ali & Drummond.

  9. Maren says:

Well done Drummond & Ali! You are stars to produce such a beautiful baby! Just remember I am available for babysitting from now on. Since I can’t have another one I’ll look after yours! Drummond, well done for keeping so focused this weekend before all the excitement!

To all you other champs….what an amazing job you did! Well done it was definately worth coming down for!

Glen, thanks for organising the hotel etc…we had a great weekend!

  10. mIcHeLLe C says:

Lil’ Ruby welcome to the world!!

Drum and Ali, like Maren I’m putting my hands up for babysitting duties. After having our son for a week, Mogwai the already ‘fat’ british bulldog I’m loving the little babies and puppies around me!!

No everyone that does not mean I’m clucky. Remember I already have a bulldog to look after… And Mogwai too!! Hehehe

Great job to Chris, Drum, Big Glen, Sue, Chantal, Marie and Penny! I was in awe of all of you and always hope (fingers doubly crossed) that one day I can improve on my own skills and be just as strong.

Glad to witness this weekend that ’size’ DOES NOT matter. Its passion, commitment, strength, technique and the constant support, encouragement and motivation that is evident in our Coastal Crossfit Family along with our Crossfit affiliate friends.

Sydney, watch out, Coastal Crossfit is heading your way!! :)

  11. nic says:

  13. sue says:

Absolutely gorgeous Drum and Ruby is gorgeous too! Hope both your girls are doing well?

Great effort to all competitors on the weekend and Sydney is going to be hell fun! A special mention to our fabulous cheer squad without your support and encouragement I am sure the weekend would have been a whole lot tougher.

    Go Coastal Crossfit!!!!!!!

  14. Thanks for all the love and support guys.

Both Ruby and Alli are doing very well and it would appear Ruby already has me wrapped around her little finger.

A huge congratulations to the Coastal CrossFit team on the weekend. The display of athleticism, determination and community I witnessed made me proud to call myself a Coastal CrossFit Trainer.

    Love and thanks,

    Drummond
