The WOD’s for the Day were:
WOD No. 1:
21-15-9 reps for time of: Deadlift, 100kg (60kg) Burpees10 minute cut off.
WOD No. 2:
Perform as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of: 10 Wall-ball Shots 10kg (6kg) 20 Double UndersFinal:
1 Minute for maximum reps of each of the following exercises:
Overhead Squat, 40kg (30kg) Pull-ups Kettlebell Swings, 24kg (16kg) Box Jumps, 24 inch (20inch) Push Press, 40kg (30kg)The athlete with the highest number of rx’d reps in the final will be the winner. Exercises must be performed in order of publication and the clock runs continuously between stations.

Spirit of the Games Award: The spirit of the Games award was awarded to Jo Maas after a rock paper scissors decider with Liz Boyd after we were unable to separate this pair of fine athletes.

All I have to say is “Ouch!”. Two WODS plus the adrenaline and atmosphere in the box cooked me completely. Spent Sunday walking around the shopping centre like Frankenstein. Couldnt buy anything on shelves below waist height. It was an inspirational day on many levels and I reckon we’ll all lift from it.
